The COLOUR OF SPRING, celebrating its 40th anniversary, is cut at half-speed by Matt Colton at Metropolis Studios, overseen by the band's drummer Lee Harris and Charlie Hollis, son of frontman Mark Hollis.
The album shows the band's progression from their synth-pop roots of "The Party's Over" and "It's My Life," more towards their improvisation-based work and provided the foundation of them producing their pioneering sound in their next album SPIRIT OF EDEN.
